Core DVD

Note

A couple of hours of yard work, weeding and cleaning out flower beds. I think I need professional help with the grass.

Rodney?

orienteering 2:00:10 [3]

Red course at Rodney. Glad I went, so glad Valerie and I had sort of made a pact to go, but not a very inspiring course. Turned it into a social event at control #4 where I ran into Valerie and Sam looking for a control that was misplaced and on the ground to boot. Sam rehung the flag but the concentration was gone and Valerie and I decided to just finish together. Made a few silly errors after that as I was too busy chatting and not paying attention but at least we egged each other on to jog some of the (many) trails. An enjoyable time but a miserable result - but good training and good to go out in the rain and work on htfu.

Three miles on the drive (plus the down and up) at whatever pace was necessary to keep jogging for 3 miles.

The discussion in Balter's log about various people joining or leaving DVOA has gotten me to thinking that we need a US version of Venla/Jukola. Forget US eligibility and point systems - clubs could put up their best 4 women and best 7 men and see what happens. If someone organized it, I wonder if clubs would come.

hiking 59:01 [3]

This was supposed to be a 5 mile run on the drive but after a mile or so at a really slow jog it clearly wasn't going to happen. I walked some, jogged some more, walked some more and jogged some more. Did 3 on the drive plus the one and half down and up.

I have no idea why I felt so incredibly crappy.

strength & stretching 40:00 [3]

TNT - core dvd with Sandy. If I can't run, at least I can do a gazillion crunches.
