orienteering race 1:27:32 [4] 7.9 km (11:05 / km)

DVOA/HVO dual meet at Holmdel, NJ
Red course. About 11 minutes behind Dasha - we were the only women who ran Red, or at least who had finished Red when we left. No real errors, maybe could have found 2-3 minutes cleaning up not quite optimal route choices and hesitations. When Dasha is on, she smokes!

running 31:20 [2]

TNT - ran around the track for a while.

The drive to Media was in a downpour, the wind was howling and electricity was out along the route. Sat in the HS parking lot wondering if I was nuts. But Clem, Dasha and Eric showed up so out into the rain I went. No energy so just ran laps for a while then walked a bit waiting for everyone to finish.

Afterwards, continued our research on the beneficial effects of red wine.

Note

Pilates class was cancelled. :(
And then my attempt to donate blood was foiled by low iron levels. Too much caffeine lately is my guess.

running 36:51 [3]

TNT - short outing with Jim as Clem was left behind to cook dinner for us since he forgot his shoes. 2 miles on the drive plus the jog down and back up - ran the hill up except the short flat part where there's just too many leaves, rocks, roots and ruts for me to run it at night.

Yoga/Pilates 1:10:00 [2]

Very good class tonight; lots of stretching, lots of strength, ending with some headstand preps. I'm getting pretty good at some things, okay at others but am really pathetic at anything that involves bending my knees very far. Good thing this instructor tends to emphasize things that don't involve sitting cross-legged!.
