Note

Hamstring felt bad yesterday, but better today. Walking around okay.

Biathlon training at Craftsbury today with Raleigh. Thorough adjustment of the rifle, changing key dimensions of the stock setup. Much better alignment of the sights and natural point of aim. Couple hours of prone shooting.

Track workout 14:23 [3] 0.95 mi (15:08 / mi)
ahr:105 max:132

Two negative tests in a row, so I guess I'm out of jail.

Tried an easy run at the track. Hamstring felt relaxed with no running for the past 2 weeks. Alternated easy 100 m run/walk, focusing on engaging my glutes. Graudally increased pace to a modest 10 min/mi until I felt a twinge in the R hamstring. Stopped then. Got a PT date this Wednesday.

Hiking 1:00:00 [1] 1.5 mi (40:00 / mi)
(sick)

Hike around the ski trails with Ruthie and Molly.

Failed a rapid test today, as did Ruthie. Both of us are asymptomatic, but still laying low.

On a plus note, finally got the old wood chipper running. Has been idle for a few years and wouldn't start. Tore down the 8 hp B&S engine and systematically replaced the spark plug, air filter, carb, magneto and installed electronic timing. Could get a pop, but no turnover. Finally decided the timing could be off (thanks youtube!), so started into the crankcase. Before I got there found the key between the crankshaft and flywheel had sheared. That let the the flywheel slip about 45 degrees and put the timing totally out of sequence. Fabricated a replacement key and engine started up on the first try. Only took 3 weeks for the whole sequence.

While it runs and shreds, the stupid thing won't do any serious chipping.
