Bicycling (Kingdom Trails) 2:00:00 [3] 8.2 mi (14:38 / mi)

In the Northeast Kingdom. Met up with Tracey and Cricket. Rode the Kingdom trails network. Really fine network of single track and double track. Winding, hilly, rooty, but no rocks nor logs. Just a fun ride. Very pretty terrain.

Felt good, much better than last week's ride; no ill effects from yesterday.

Road Running warm up/down 25:06 [1] 1.12 mi (22:20 / mi) +108m 17:12 / mi

Up to start.

O - competition race (Billygoat - Mt Tom) 2:39:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @3) + (1:39:00 @4) 13.7 km (11:37 / km)

Actually felt good, despite partying Sat eve. Got worn down by the 700m of climb, but no surprise there.

Missed spotting #1 on the map, so headed out to the road for a fast trip to Mt Nonotuck. Figured out the miss pretty quickly, but decided it was a pretty good skip so kept on going. Got to #2 at the same time as Ross, so that was good. Followed him into the control, except he got lost and finally made it his skip. I didn't have that option, so climbed back up 7 contours with Ed before the rest of the crowd got there and we headed back just past where I hooked up with Ross in the first place. Only big error all day; good for 10 min.

Rest of the nav was fairly easy with a reasonable pack. By myself going across to #20, but nailed that one, knowing the features pretty well.

Got a leg cramp climbing out of #21. Wasn't going to favor it that close to the end, so just tried not to trigger another spasm and kept going.

Nice use of the Mt Tom map!

Roller skiing (Rte 11) 55:00 [2] 6.44 mi (8:32 / mi) +94m 8:10 / mi
shoes: NiflheimSkate

Focused on smooth and fluid V1. Used butt more and that helped.
Turned out I had the speed reducer dragging one ski the whole time.
