Classic skiing with Mathias from Notschrei to the top of Feldberg (1493m).
Fast skiing to the base of the mountain. Then pretty slow going up the hill. Awesoommmmme at the top! Did a sweet 1.5km back country section to save going up Feldberg a second time, Mathias wasn't too impressed...

3:34min/km on the last 9k, 2:50 on the last 7k, nice. Last ski in the Blackforest for a while :(

Epic ski with Mathias in the Vosges mountains, France. Started at Lac Blanc and skied to Col de la Slucht and back. Perfect ski tracks, about -1, and sun shine. Second day now with a fog layer, although this time at around 800m. Pretty cool to see a sea of cloud, and some random black forest and alps mountains poke up.

Managed to ditch the one pair of skating skis on my dad, so that we could both go classic. Went quite fast today -- I think even Sindre Østhagen would have some troubles keeping up... if he didn't use poles... and was using only one wooden ski... and possibly was blindfolded.

A lot of double-poleing, although not as much as Mathias the stake-master. Ribs now hurt, probably from my bad poling technique.

Cool down with Mathias to meet dad.

Nice trail run in the hills near Freiburg. Started at the parking lot near city centre, and ran up the ridge to the top of Rosskopf (750m elev).

Climbed up the tower at the top for some nice views. There was a layer of fog up to 450m elevation, so the whole Rhine valley was hidden. Did see the radio tower on Totenkopf stick up above the layer, and of course all the nearby Blackforest mountains. Took the gravel roads on my way down.

Skiing from Hinterzarten towards Feldberg. Traded skis with Mathias a few times so that neither had to skate the whole time.
