Note

Gosh I'm good! I biked to work yesterday AND today. Oh the dedication! Today I even had a container of homemade shortbread cookies in my bag in the morning. I think it's about 20 minutes or perhaps a little bit more each way and I get to ride through Hagley Park. Won't be quite such a nice ride when we move to a real office though :(
6 PM

Run 30:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6

Nice cruisey run along the river and about with Michael. It was warmer than anticipated outside. Running incredibly unco tonight though and felt uber unfit or something.

(rest day)

SO tired. Gosh it's hard to get back into this whole working thing.

Run 1:44:08 [3] 14.8 km (7:02 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 5

Wednesday Night Run from the Takahe. Lost the others somewhere around the side of Mt Vernon so Michael, Greig and I just continued with what we thought was the original plan. Awesome run though. But I really need that new headlight asap. GPS track here

Road Bike long 1:41:01 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Up to the kiwi then along Summit Road to where it starts to go down to Gebbie's Pass. Not quite up to adventurous downhills by myself yet so turned around and came home again. Would have been a lovely ride home if I hadn't realised when I turned around that my phone had fallen out somewhere. Was all panicked about that since I was supposed to meet Michael at a specific time and was running late anyway. Tried to look out for it on the way home but had no luck so got a new phone...only to get home and find that someone had handed it in to the police station.

Climbing (indoor - TR) 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Five Ten Anasazi Verde

The Roxx. I just wasn't feeling it tonight and wanted to curl up on the couch in frustration after my blah day instead. Oh well. Made it up some stuff which is always good but my arms and fingers are getting really sore really quickly again. Cramping seems to have mostly stopped though so that's good.

Run hills 1:00:52 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 5

Hill interval things with Michael. Warmup from the end of Bowenvale Rd up the valley a bit (12 minutes or something). Then 2 x up and down loops on the bottom half of the bush track. Then all the way up to Victoria Park (beautiful starry sky) and back down to the bottom of the valley again. Then a nice warmdown back to the end of the road. The ups are brutal but the downhills weren't too bad as I was a bit slow because I'm not super confident down hills...and in the dark. This running in the dark in the bush/hills is getting easier though.

Note

We did our stretches afterwards in front of the fire. That's got to be a first (the stretches, not the fire)!
