Control flagging round 3. Whew, had just enough flagging tape! (Couldn't find the roll, just used some that was leftover from something previous.) Jogged, but this definitely overdid it. =(

Our first 'dispersed' camping on NF land at the site of Arnold Ice Cave map! Nice to feel the independence of just being on our own. Site we found was a bit dusty, but other than that, pretty perfect. Heard coyotes howl overnight and other than that, lots of cows mooing.

This was flagging round 1, with Sylvia. She was pretty intrepid, considering the sage is sometimes taller than she is...

To/from 7am dentist appointment. Not a great sleep night, between being worried about waking up for 6am alarm and Martin dealing with his 4 mo vaccines given yesterday. But nice to be biking early and the filling replacement wasn't too bad either. Dental nurse (or other title) is going camping for Memorial day and dentist going to Bend. We're combining their plans and camping in Bend.. =)

Sylvia cycled the first half of the way home on the bike path, which doesn't really count as training. But then with her and her bike loaded up in the Chariot hauling it uphill to the library before it closed *definitely* does! New books obtained. Loving the library - not sure how else we'd survive reading 5 books every night.

Hey look! Intervals! 5 x 3 min at hopeful next 5k pace, 7:30ish/mi. Felt ok, hammies kinda tight though.
