Running 42:04 [1] 4.05 mi (10:23 / mi) +41m 10:04 / mi

Running over to the Fay canyon trail from the Sandy's canyon trailhead along Lake Mary Road, then we tried to follow the Fay canyon trail down into the canyon, but failed. Too many other trails and forest roads! Came across a buggy graveyard that is probably a tourist trap in the summer or something, then headed off in the direction that seemed downhill and did indeed find a canyon and the trail we were meant to be on!

Ran to the junction with Walnut canyon with a gorgeous exposed canyon wall.

Hiking 1:35:28 [0] 4.8 mi (19:53 / mi) +143m 18:12 / mi

Then we switched into hiking mode and went into narrow Walnut canyon. Just beautiful. The sedimentary dune rock is so neat since the layers are every which way. A further few miles down the canyon are famous cliff dwellings associated with the Walnut Canyon national monument, but this little trail peters out after about a mile and the guideline is not to go further than that.

Returned via Sandy's canyon, some cool views of basalt top-layer crumble on the way out.

Hiking 1:50:01 [1] 4.24 mi (25:57 / mi) +467m 19:20 / mi

Hiking with Tom partway up Humphrey's peak. Was snowy from the very bottom (still skiers at the Snow Bowl), but manageable with just running shoes until about 2 miles in. Then we turned back. Whoa there altitude!

Aerobics 34:02 [2] 0.58 mi (58:42 / mi) +28m 51:03 / mi

Zumba! Only could go for part of the class because of lots of meetings with students (mostly trying to give advice to students who aren't doing well. I find this hard. I have no silver bullets.) Anyways, with limited time, gave it my all and am now sore the day after!
