Classic with Stephen @ Ole's. Cold and snowy! No base at all, lots of grass uncovered, a few sections were ok and we skied those repeatedly.

Skate ski with Stephen at Trapps- up to cabin via Parizo, then around Slayton Pasture, again around Slayton, then down via part of Parizo and over to Russel Knoll. Some serious wind!

Started out on Christmas jog with Dad, Steph and Stephen. Pain behind knee that wasn't that bad, but not that good either, so was sensible and stopped running with the others. Depressed. Walked home, then gave jogging another shot in the driveway. Felt ok (going really slow) so went over and went up and back on Forrest Way once.

10 min abs and 2 min side plank.

I may not ever be able to run again (ok, I will, just seems like forever now), but at least I'll have abs!

XC skiing 2:00:00 [1]

Wee! Long classic ski at Fahnestock. Probably my longest workout since the OMM. Actually, I'm pretty sure about that. Warmer than yesterday, so more pleasant. I don't think it did anything horrible to the hamstring. Its a bit sore now afterwards, but didn't hurt noticeably while skiing at all... tomorrow will be a rest or easy day.

Skating at Fahnstock State Park!

First time trying out skating with the hamstring, seemed ok! Such cold snow. Not sure I've ever skied on such cold snow around Poughkeepsie before. Good cover, race skis didn't suffer any scrapes or anything. Very impressed with winter!

10 min abs with Stephi and SGB. Good stuff. Abs tired by end, included plank and 6 inches.

Ski-O at Lapland Lake, Red Course

So, so, so much fun. Tons of snow. Classic skiing required as they weren't grooming continuously and there was just too much snow.

Something like 7.6k, 12 controls, only little fumbles, nothing big. Maybe route choices not ideal, but it's so hard to make choices.

Skiing super-local at James Baird State Park (which I believe even has an o-map of it!) Lovely to have good snow so close to home! Was working on teaching SGB a bit, but got a bit cold and thus grumpy, so went off and skied back and forth on my own a bit. Beautiful, beautiful!

Little jog around Florence Park. Lovely sunny, fairly warm weather!

Behind-knee felt fine, a bit sore in the hamstring-to-bum insertion towards the end. Tomorrow will likely be a day totally off for recovering from jetlag + seeing folks in NYC, then Home, Home, Home!!! Weeee!

Little jog before circuits. Hamstring (behind knee) started hurting a bit right after starting (2 min in), but then went away again. Does feel a lot more solid in general still. Don't want to be making it worse, so will keep easy for a bit!

Back to Oxford, and back to the gym. Think I really am healing though, perhaps thanks to the mandatory training hiatus in Paris...

While on the crosstrainer, my buddy came over and explained how he was just healing from a complete ACL tear- he's been out for 6 months. Made me feel lucky.

Then ~10 min kicking/aquajogging.
Hamstring is definitely feeling stronger.

Morning jog around Montmarte. Gorgeous!!!

Ran through the little streets, then up to Sacre Coeur, and saw the sunrise over Paris. Really neat!

And hamstring felt ok. But was taking it super duper easy.

Sooooooo busy. Really haven't trained at all the past few days, at a meeting in Paris. Will hopefully get a run in tomorrow. Maybe is good for the hamstring, in the end!

Crossramp at 6, Resistance at 9, I think
Felt fine, no music today yet. And the swimming pool was closed as a lifeguard was ill, so the swim team was all trying to get a workout in, amusing as they didn't have the kit for doing in and were barefoot/in nice jumpers/jeans and such... they did, however have a plank-off, which is good stuff. Maybe we should have a sports fed plank off to determine the team with the strongest abs.

On the treadmill, as it was cold and dark out, there's frost everywhere, which makes it look *almost* like snow...

Anyways, just a jog really, at 5 mph, which I still think maybe be quicker than the jog on Sat. Felt ok, nothing sharp and twing-ey, which is good!

And also felt ok dancing later, which I'm actually more impressed by.

A real workout-ish today! 2 x 100, 2 x 150, 2 x 200, 2 x 100. I'm sure that's way wimpy for real swimmers, but I'm not.

I do think my arms are getting stronger, which is good. Makes it more fun to actually swim.

Track closed due to bad weather? Not sure what, just seemed to be raining... and too warm for ice too, I think... So went out the back of the gym, and ran 2.5 min out and 2.5 min back.

Felt ok, nothing really tweaky, achey pain in the bum.
