Another morning gym session. 10 min on treadmill at 11:32 pace and 4% grade like yesterday, then normal elliptical, then stairclimber at 68 stairs per minute. This certainly has been a gym-rat week, but the gym is closed for 4 days for the 4th weekend, so will get out more hiking soon!

Psyched for some good qual results from team USA at the WOC Sprint!

10 min at 11:32 pace at 4% grade on the treadmill.

Then, the *snazzy* elliptical. Or glider-elliptical. It is a different motion, the conjoined leg-arm things on each side swing back and forth as opposed to go in an elliptical motion. It's more intense. Was certainly a good workout!

Gym morning! Did 10 min at 10:30 pace and 2% grade on the treadmill, then the elliptical then the stair-climer which I'm logging as hiking (68 stairs per minute). Latter was a pretty good workout with my 20 lb heavier body!

Pilates. Have to adjust a fair few of the exercises now. We had Mary substituting for Vicki and she was helpful giving suggestions for things I might try.

Grrrr. Woke up with a super-sore throat. The plan had been to bike the Banks-Vernonia bike trail with Anna, Derek, Jenna, Ragnar and Tom. But my throat was just really unhappy, so biked just the first bit and turned around (should have been a 40 mile ride). The trail does seem really nice though, will have to try another time!!

Hot in Portland today. Could easily survive without AC, but it would probably be 90F in doors, we're having it work to lower it to 80F.

Before it got too hot, we did some gardening. Geraniums are now in the flower box and Tom uprooted some bamboo and ivy.

It was just too beautiful out today to not try running outside!

And I felt better than 1.5 weeks ago, no worrying pain in my lower pelvis. So kept trotting 2.5 loops around the canyon. That wonderful temperature where it's warm in the sun, cool in the shade and not too humid. Woo!

Hiking the Multnomah Falls - Wakeenha Falls loop with Tom, Carol and Greg. Oregon does waterfalls pretty well! First time I've done this loop, pretty nice, but glad we started early! Traffic jam on the old highway when we got back around 11am, but still a handful of spaces in the interstate parking lot.

Return-trip bike to the Thorns game (women's pro soccer). We were playing Sky Blue, the team from New Jersey. They beat us, 3-1 with their first goal in the first minute which is always disheartening. I was a bit cranky on the way home, think it was dehydration. I don't like paying for bottled water, but they don't let you take yours in and maybe being dehydrated is worse than paying for water.

Quick run before Pilates, 1.5 laps of the canyon. Happy to still be running! Since my belly kinda popped out and is more obvious, it's actually more pleasant to run (don't feel like I have to pee from the very first step.)

Pilates. No Vicki today, a sub instructor. She was perfectly fine, if a bit different, but clearly wanted us to react and engage more. I think for the most part lots of us zone out during Pilates...

Hamstring tried cramping in the final bridges.
