Running (Road) 42:00 [2]
weight:180lbs

Easy lunchtime run with Jeff. Legs felt completely dead at the start - I thought I might have to bag it. Got better after a couple miles.

Running (Road) 42:00 [2]

PM: Over to Y and back. Pretty slow shuffle.

Swimming (Pool) 24:00 [2]

1200 easy.

Control pickup at Hawn (1:10).

Orienteering (Woods) 42:00 [2] ***

Realized that I forgot to have someone pickup the model event, so I went back to S-F (1:10) and got that (plus a competition control that evaded pickup yesterday).

Cycling (Road) 1:34:00 [4]

By the time I got home, it wasn't looking good for my planned stamina workout. Headed over to the Hog Hollow loop and did two tempo laps. First lap had a steady 1:50 on the climb, used the 21 for a 1:38 (!) on the second. It was getting dark and had started raining, neither of which I object to, but the combination seemed a bad match for hot laps on a loop with a 70KMH descent, so I stuck to the flood plain for a while doing tempo into the wind and then gave one last good effort on Amiot before succumbing to complete darkness (although the rain had stopped).

Cycling (Trainer) 1:00:00 [2]

Finished the workout on the trainer. Nothing hard, just tacking some distance on the end.

Note

The weekend has not been kind to the G reading, although Peter speculated that he might be up a bit, too. I suppose I should add 300 grams to my reading since I'll certainly eat the entire Swiss chocolate bar Sandra gave me for putting on the meet in the next day or so (heck, I might eat the whole thing tonight - that's some quality chocolate there!)

A very nice gesture, even if it will necessitate some additional training.

Checking all the controls I didn't hang yesterday which made for a nice long control picking course. This week's storms had knocked one down and twisted up another.

Hauling the water out. Pretty good upper body workout (2 gallons in each hand).

Had a meeting in Alton this morning, so I stopped by UMSL to make a final touch up o fone section of the map.

Back to Creve Coeur in time for an easy lunchtime run with Jeff.

Cycling (Trainer) 1:30:00 [2]

More babysitting the map printing.

Easy lunchtime run. Started in sun, but finished in a hard enough rain to obviate the post-run shower.

Easy spin watching the Team Trials maps print.
