running 1:00:00 [2]

Easy jogging on campus. Easy but the last 10-15 minutes didn't feel easy. It felt like I was overheated or dehydrated or something. It wasn't actually hot out. Maybe dehydration was more likely.

Got home in time to watch the time trial from Giro d'Italia. Exciting race.

Biking - roads and bike paths on the commuter bike. I took a break during the ride to spend a bit over an hour field checking part of a sprint map. I'm extending the Water Tower Park map a little bit to the east and north east. I also had to sketch in the construction area in the park.

Note

When the alarm went off this morning I was sound asleep. I decided to skip a morning jog and went back to sleep.

Morning job.

I saw no skunks.

The St Louis to Denver flight was running a bit late (checked the phone and it left St Louis at 5:40 instead of the scheduled 5:30).

Workers pouring concrete before 6 again.

Legs felt ok - better than yesterday.

A little bike ride to check out something on the Water Tower Park map (and to play around on the folding bike).

Morning jog. Even slower than usual.

They were pouring concrete on West Campus before 6 a.m. again. Maybe they are behind schedule or something. It is unusual to see work that early.

I nearly ran in to a skunk. I was a bit closer that I'd like to be.

I usually see an airplane flying to the west on my morning jogs. Today I decided to see what flight it was. Southwest from St Louis to Denver.

running 1:15:00 [2]

Ran on West Campus and the main campus. "Ran" = slowly jogging.

I did a few hills. Not as much as yesterday. Or maybe the total climb was about the same, but spread out over 75 minutes instead of 35 minutes. My legs were tired near the end.

I spotted more poison ivy on my running route on West Campus. Maybe the new sidewalks will be open before the poison ivy takes over. Probably not.

Mary was off at Shawnee Mission Park for the adventure race (she did the 2 hour foot section). I made the map for the biking section. I'll be interested to check with Bob B. to see how it worked.
