orienteering 30:00 [2]

I did some line orienteering using a course Mary drew for herself a while ago. I don't really like doing much line orienteering. But it is fun on occasion.

Sweaty out. Warmish but cloudy.

A little bit of a ride on the new bike. I like it. It feels a bit different, but not a lot different.

Who would have thought that a bike that fit Mary could also fit me?

running 40:00 [2]

Morning jog. Warmer than the last few days - shorts + light jacket + no gloves.

I met a guy walking on one of the trails in the woods on West Campus. That was a surprise. I know people use the trails to commute from the neighborhood to campus, but I rarely see anyone.

I was very sleepy feeling the first couple hours of the work day. No idea why, but I was pretty much out of it for the first meeting I had. I was a bit more alert for my second meeting. I was fine for my third meeting. That's a lot of meetings for me. It'd probably be a quiet morning for Mary.

Morning job. Cold enough that I wore light gloves the entire time.

running 40:00 [2]

Very pleasant morning to be out for a jog - cool and clear, no wind.

I saw three other people out jogging (and one dog).

Slow jog on the trails at Clinton State Park. I carried the map but barely looked at it.

I saw a couple of hikers, 3 trail runners, 2 MTB riders and one of our neighbors (Jay, he was doing some trail maintenance). I also saw a ground hog. No deer.

My legs felt ok. I got tired after about 75 minutes and started stumbling a bit on rocky parts of the trail.

I think this was my longest run since the long race in Kentucky.
