Orienteering (Xmas 5 days - Day 5) 1:42:00 [3] 7.2 km (14:10 / km)
weight:89kg shoes: Inov8 opp shop

Beechworth Gorge -What happened to the 5th day traditional of a Sprint O? Nope more granite. Whoever set this course had young legs in mind as there were multiple ups and downs. Busted a gut and just couldnt run in the heat. Keep cathing a M17-20 at the control which he follwed me into. annoying when other ran about 75. Topped off with a 7 hour drive back to the big smoke. Spotted a young adult female whose only arctile of clothing was a bra running down the freeway median on the way back..

Orienteering (Xmas 5 days - Day 3) 45:07 [3] *** 4.5 km (10:02 / km)
shoes: Inov8 opp shop

Eldorado -Felt the flow going here. even up the hills. Saw Shingo on the way to 2 then Pacque and Colm so decided to gun it. Some minor errors at the end of legs which coast probably 3 mins. pretty much had energy left at the end. Must have been the good nights sleep at Woolshed Creek.

Walking 50:00 [3] 4.0 km (12:30 / km)

Silver Creek to Beechworth return. Lots of mineshafts

Orienteering (Xmas 5 days Day 2) 58:47 [3] 5.0 km (11:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 opp shop

Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park - A fairly hilly and technical course from memory made a couple of stupid istakes like 180 errors and aiming for a saddle and running down to the yellow. Last little loop was fun. SI went ballastic and added 12 hours to my time. Maybe because I have an ancient SI STick (Mk 6? - the red one)?

Orienteering (Xmas days - Day1) 43:52 [3] *** 5.2 km (8:26 / km)
shoes: Inov8 opp shop

Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park -Felt fairly ordinary as never driven that long to an O event before, possible exception Clarence Marshes from St Helens or Dubbo from Sydney. A couple of annoying errors. Too slow. Too hot.

Note

The organiser of the Xmas 5 days have allowed me to make a sneaky switch from Mens B to Mens C, more in my range of fitness these days.

Orienteering 1:03:28 [3] 8.3 km (7:39 / km)
shoes: North Face Trail - orange

Summer Series at Mosman. Went for the long loop but got stuck in an area of down and up stairs and ended up at sea level just to see the beach that I have not been to before. That left the big hill to last which took about 12 mins to walk up. The sprint here was way more enjoyable.

Orienteering 50:20 [3] 5.0 km (10:04 / km)
shoes: North Face Trail - orange

SSS at Longueville which I thought was Loungeville up to today. Lane Cove Council get the prize for the greenest, litter free and most manicured nature strips. Didn't enjoy the hills or the Toorak tractors.
