Orienteering race (Sydney MetrO League) 1:08:08 [3] ** 5.4 km (12:37 / km)

First run in Sydney at Campbelltown Uni of Western Sydney. Bloody awful map. It seems they have a different interpretation of yellow up here. Thingh high grass and blackberry with hawthorny type weeds everywhere. fixed controls on star pickets that you could not see and bingo controls in the green. Fun Fun Fun! If this was the first time I went orienteering I would immediately give up and think that orienteers are a bunch of morons for wasting a perfectly good day in this shit of a place. Still, The Blue Mountains next time should be better.

Orienteering race (TOS4 - Wild Dog Creek) 1:01:44 [4] ** 8.0 km (7:43 / km) +160m 7:01 / km
spiked:16/18c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw - spikes

Last TOS event for the year for me. Course 2. Felt pretty good and my best km rate for 3 years. No major errors, you could see some of teh next controls from the previous control point. Went high on the long leg to 1. and mucked up the long leg to 12 by going too low, but this turned out to be less than climb than others had. A bit dissapointed to be only 4-5 mins behind Callum and Jono.
