Orienteering (NSW champs Eugowra) 2:45:25 [3] 7.6 km (21:46 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

A,very long slog. Lots of errors. Leg 3-4 I approached by going left up to the saddle or what I thought was the saddle. Lost map contact and eventually relocated off a bare rock knoll with speccy views to the north
Went 4-6 with Bec and went straight past 6 into the unknown. Couldn't make sense of all the bare rock to 8. 10-11 didn't make sense and didn't really have an attackpoint other than the gully. Just too physical terrain for me.

Orienteering 1:09:22 [3] 4.6 km (15:05 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

Felt like I was going ok until 12-13. Like I had a tailwind. Sub optimal route choice to 3 going through the rock instead of straight down the gully. Happy with compass and feature recognition spiking controls. Helped that they were on big rock features. Felt like I was flying on the downhill leg to 6. 7 was tough going but hit the correct rock. Went right to 8, wrong route choice to 9 down the wrong gully. Went over the top to 12, falling and ripping my new O pants. Brainfade on 13 going in too high twice. Ran straight past 14 couldn't make the yellow fit. 16 was tricky and 17 looked too close from coming out of the white. Pretty frustrating. Would have been under the hour if no stupid errors.

Orienteering (Easter Day 2 - Gumble) 2:35:00 [3] 6.9 km (22:28 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

Lost the ability to orienteer again. Felt very sick from dehydration after the event. as it was a hot day. Actually ran my ute off the road to be physically sick on the way back to Orange. I do not support he decision for no water on courses. There has to be a risk-benefit. Covid is very rare in Australia but getting dehydrated on a hot day isn't. Both can kill you.

Note

Left ITB still broken from Wattle Ridge. Still have trouble walking without pain. I don't think there will be a lot of running going on at Easter.
