Note

Pedalling through the dark currents
I find an accurate copy
A blueprint
Of the Pleasure in Me

He offers a handshake
Crooked five fingers
Form a pattern
Yet to be matched

A secret code carved
A secret code carved
In a palm of fingers
Form a pattern
Yet to be matched

Morsecoding signals
Pulsate
Wake me up
From my hibernate

On the surface simplicity
By the darkest pit in me
Is pagan poetry
Pagan poetry

Orienteering race (TOS 3 - Russells Plains) 1:42:52 [4] ** 8.5 km (12:06 / km) +225m 10:41 / km
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw - spikes

Started off Ok but after twisting ankle on the way to four (long sloping uphill leg) and navigating to what I thought waas the correct rock and then spending 10 mins looking for it), my heart wasn't in it. Was alone for much of the course (nearly all of it) and started to lose concentration and just walk for a bit. Couldn't get any momentum going through the rocky ground and wattle regrowth. Tried to get the fastest finish split, didn't even get that. So a mediocre effort. I think I am suited to much more complex detail where I don't have to run across open plains.

Orienteering race (TOS 2 - Pittwater Dunes) 1:22:33 [3] ***** 7.1 km (11:38 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw - spikes

Felt pretty good at the start running by myself and navigating well up until 5 where I caught Stocksy and Jess. Jess I containued around toghther until 16 where I made a 7 min error by running straight past the control. Looking back on it I stopped navigating about 12, even though I was by myself at this stage. Ilks caught me at 16 so tried extra hard to power onto the finish which didn't really work.

Probably my best run at Pittwater so happy, annoying that I got distratced with other runners around.
