Orienteering Night 1:31:00 [3]

British night champs

Not good.
Put my foot in a rabbit hole on the way to the start, so ran back to the orienteering shop ask "can I have some tape and pay you after ... And do you have ibruprofen?" not ideal

Then really struggled with understanding the map. The mapper seemed to think the green/ undergrowth and paths was more important than seeing the contors and rock features?

Plus no 5 was in the wrong place, wasn't sure if it had been stolen and I should run off or keep looks big for it! Poo boy caught me here and we ran almost together (well he ran away in the paths but I think I had more control near the controls). But I had some bad direction out of a control and never saw Peter again.

Disappointed by myself tonight but really disappointed by the quality of another shit British champs. This is the second British champs I have come to England especially for and its been really bad.
I can deal with the terrain not being great but at least do more to make it more enjoyable and less amatuer (maps, courses and controls in the right place shouldn't be too much to ask for)
also at a championship with a supposed 70min winning time 2min start intervals seem short?
9 PM

Note

After the map turn over (half way) I got really bad gut pains that lasted the night
