The ulitmate holiday challenge: The World Cup Giant Slalom in reverse.
Ouch.
DOn't think me heels touched the ground the entire time. Ran the whole thing except a few steps in the middle where it was so steep we were on hands and knees. Very relieved to go round the final corner and see the cable car station at the top!
Going back in winter to do the downhill on skis version. Cumulative best time wins. Alex has a 5 mins head start. Bets are on :-D

Mountain biking! This was ace fun :-D
Headed down to La Villa (1400m) to pick up a couple of very nice mountain bikes (Scott Genius 740, full suspension. retail £2500ish. niiiice), then headed up to Pralongia (2157m). The first bit was all on gravel tracks uphill through the forest which was lovely (despite being all up hill) but above about 1900m there was still a fair bit of snow around and we ended up having to do quite a lot of hike a bike. There were clear patches once we left the tree line but the last part was significantly slower than the beginning! Stopped at Pralongia for a snack with an incredible view... Then headed down to Corvara. This side of the mountain wasn't in the trees and obviously gets more sun as there were only a few small snow patches so rode all the way. Quite petrifying at times but awesome fun. Stopped in Corvara for some gnocci and coffee then went round the waterfalls loop. Finished off with some cool single track (rode almost all of it!) then flew down the last section to La Villa, finishing just before the rain hit. Perfect :(D)
This is the first part of the ride before my watch died...

Part 2 of the ride recorded on my phone. I think there's a bit missing in the middle somewhere!
