Giro supporting run :-D

Watched the start and early part from the comfort of our hotel room (laughing slightly at the snow/white out at the finish) then set off up the hill. Ran most of the way up to Col Tre Croci, including a bit of extra ascent then a cool snow ploughing descent when we took the wrong path. Jogged part way back down the road, met some fun crazy italians and stopped to cheer everyone through. Towards the ended we headed back down the road and into town to watch the finish from the comfort of a cafe. Awesome day :-D

first run of our 'summer' holiday. Up the hill from Cortina through the snow to a very cool war memorial tower then down a pretty much vertical cliff (slightly dodgy in wet snow) and back to the town. Could feel the altitude and the fell race DOMS but great to be out and nice run despite the snow :-D

Totley Moor Fell Race.
Felt really good to run hard and a lot better than I expected. Started off steady as there's a huge climb at the start then gradually picked off blokes as we got higher up. Passed a few on the contour round then a few more on the climb up to the trig. Held my own on the descent, lost a little on the final climb (knew I would hurt tomorrow by this point) and pretty much held my position down the road at the end. Got some good cheering and finished 3rd lady (2 bars of green blacks and a ginormous flapjack :-D)
Want to do some more fell races, really enjoyed this despite the minging weather!
