grrrr. someone funny shut the A1 last night and didn't bother putting up any signs about it. took 3 hours to get back from stansted and i was in bed about 4:30 :( woke up with a bad tummy from eating too many sweets and caffeine drinks on teh way home to keep me awake!!

buuut, finally got out the house and went for a really nice run with alex through beeley and wharncliffe. lots of ups and downs and a bit of terrain. pretty tired but good to get out :)

morning jog with helen. good to get out and loosen up the back and legs. back not behaving very well and having to concentrate hard to get it in a sensible position.

started off on the first line for a change so wasn't far back as we piled into the wood but got stuck upto mid thigh going through the first marsh and went slightly off line. was gradually catching up places and not far back going through the second tv control but then messed up number 13 and lost a bit over 2 mins. went off line going over the hill and took too long to relocate in all the green bushy stuff. should have gone slightly left of the line as much better attack points there and visibility was really low. lost about 45s on the next control too. after that ran a few legs with jenny and tried to overtake as many people as possible on the running bits at the end. managed to pass erika for our 3rd team so was second lidingo runner in the finish :)

our team ended up 32nd, elisabeth missed the same gaffle as me but lost 9 mins on second leg, ida ran well on 3rd and malin didn't have her best day on last. 3rd team beat us and were 19th and 4th team 74th, 1st team 3rd but they were leading after leg 2... , pretty impressive having 4 teams in top 75!!

shoes: New Balance 1060

5 x 5 mins with 90s rest. started down in hillsborough to avoid having to do a rep up the coppice track.
saw rich g on his way home from work (2 points) and mike and clare gossiping (4 points). and now i finally know where clares house is! can't believe its taken me this long to find out.

feeling tired today so decided i would just go for a jog. but then concentrated so hard on not running bent that i went fairly quick plus got excited thinking about jukola so definately L2! first leg for the second team - moving up in the world :)
