Trail-O Champs in PA.
Yay! had a great day with the best score for the day on the course. I only missed one control, which was a mistake by the course setter and was thrown out. The result was a bronze medal for the Champs and a secure spot on the WTOC team.

Day 1 Fox Chaser - Ridley Creek State Park, PA
Pretty horrible day. The good news is that I actually went for the Trail-O Champs and not for the foot-O, so I was just trodding through the snowy woods for fun more than anything. The track doesn't seem to show #1. I must have forgotten to start my watch. But that just means that you don't see me wandering around looking for the boulder hidden under the snow. You can see the fiasco that was number 3.

Trail-O race 1:15:00 [1] *** 1.0 km (1:15:00 / km) +25m 1:06:40 / km

Day 1 Trail-O Champs at Ridley Mansion. Interesting site for this. Lots of gardens, walls, etc. I had three misses today. One was because I just didn't think correctly about how the bends in a wall weren't the end of the wall. The others were more terrain oriented. In one case I used a sight line that the course setter hadn't considered. The other was probably just not set accurately enough. I figure it was between two controls and just picked poorly. Also spent forever on the first timed control only to get it wrong. Somehow mismatched the walls and just convinced myself the levels were different than they were.
