On the VE with Aoife. She just asked for confirmation once, where I got my only look at the map.

Big chase after an NSCC puncture on Mona Vale Road cost ~ 30 secs. Led myself for a while as the NSCC group reformed. At Terry Hills tavern could see the BF 4 around 700m ahead, but at the roundabout all NSCC except 1 turned left. Led the chase towards the NP entrance and then my NSCC mate turned right down McCarrs. At this stage I was about 200m back, so had to chase solo and made the catch 1.5km later. But then a dropped chain embarrassment on small hill before Akuna. Akuna East 11:51, Mc Carrs better at 8:43. Nick got the Snives climb.

Macquarie Park, nice course but had no zip. Warwick came through for his first win of the season. Lost about 1:40 bush bashing at my last (no. 18) after running down an unmapped track, so it would have been pretty close had I not done that. An earlier error was taking 11 too early.
Very impressed by Steve Ryan's speed as he passed me (twice).
Second win overall in the age category - had won previously in the 2011/12 series, but skipped 2010/11, 2012/13 and 2013/14 through fear of injury (did 1 race total in those three years).
