St Ives Showgrounds. Double booked with showjumping; no 1 was at the far corner of the showjumping arena and the showjumpers posted guards to stop bike access after the first few went through.
Back to start and we decided to eliminate no. 1. Started again, but no. 6 was back in the horse saddling area. Had a discussion with the guard there and she accepted that her solution of stopping access from one direction might not be the best. So I waited on the other side of 6 and at the access to no. 8 (which was also a problem as that went past the jump arena as well) to advise cyclists to slow down, or better, dismount and walk. 50 minutes there; and then DNFd.

The Claypan, Beacon Hill. Enjoyable outing. Lots of mistakes but hey - who needs an Adventure Maze? This was better. Lost 4 minutes all up in mistakes.

Fast one today. Got in a fast group up to Bobbin Head Rd and the El Prez to Akuna East (10:16). Held on enough up the climbs (McCarrs 7:47) to tag on the back of El Prez on Mona Vale Rd on the way back. That was a fast section.

Lane Cove Country Club. Nice venue. Tough to plan, but got a conservative route. 10 pts behind Paula.
Was comfortably ahead of the plan, but 3 mistakes in the last 6 minutes put me close to overtime. Lost 1 minute searching for 26, 15 seconds at 25 and then missed the path to the finish (a pink streamer was blocking it) and ran past 8 which I had got already, wasting another 45 seconds.
Really don't know how I could have got another 10 points, even without losing that 2 minutes near the end. Maybe 1 or 16?

Left knee niggle still going (since the Xmas 5 days), limping yesterday. Not an injury yet since it hasn't hindered training or racing, but definitely need these sessions.
