Teering race (State League) 1:03:19 [4] *** 7.92 km (8:00 / km) +87m 7:35 / km
spiked:9/12c (injured) shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw 270

Wallaroo. My third injury in 3 visits to this area. Straight line km. Deja vu, as I smashed my right side on rocks after slipping on a branch. Actually stunned for a few seconds after my shoulder hit my skull. I think I was going OK up to that point, but slowed down after. Plus some very dodgy compass work - I took a rotated bearing and stopped every 20m on a 400m leg and still ended up around 80m to the right at #8.

Teering race (NSW Champs) 15:47 [5] 2.69 km (5:52 / km) +34m 5:31 / km
shoes: Saucony Hurricane 2011

Ourimbah Campus. Sprint Distance, straight 2.0 km. 1st*, to add to my current Australian and Oceania titles. So at least one demon exercised after last years mp. Built a substantial lead with the first 7 fastest splits, then wobbled a bit in the middle after running underneath the map for a couple of hundred metres. Rob Prentice quicker through the complex pathways, but had dropped too much early. Ran OK, not brilliant. Breathing not great before, but OK during. L knee a bit sore after.
*actually a bit of a hollow victory as Malcolm Roberts was 5 seconds quicker as an Entry-on-the-Day.

Naremburn. Breathing not 100%, but OK. Felt like VMO's were working, which is unusual.

Core Stability (Pilates) 1:10:00 [1]

First day I've felt "well" for nearly 4 weeks. Breathing almost back to normal (for me).
