Running 18:11 [3] 2.46 km (7:23 / km)
ahr:126 max:160

Running 1:21:14 [3] 21.36 km (3:48 / km) +51m 3:45 / km
ahr:170 max:182

Bruh moment. This went awful, made like 2-3 wrong turns, had nobody to run with and really just died out due to lack of motivation at the end.

I didn't manage to run the actual course, but my watch says I ran 1;20:04. So we'll call it over 80 minutes and try again some other time (this unfortunately involved stopping multiple times to try to figure out where to go).

New blog post just dropped:

Training going a bit haphazardly right now although I hope to get back to it next week after the Half Marathon which I'm really emphasizing right now.
8 AM

Running 27:12 [3] 5.28 km (5:09 / km) +42m 4:58 / km
ahr:134 max:146

Recovery run instead of intervals. I am the King of slightly modifying my existing plans :))
5 PM

Running 1:17:27 [3] 9.0 km (8:36 / km) +16m 8:32 / km
ahr:123 max:178

6x400m at mile pace. Nice pre-race speed work, my legs felt fast and fantastic! Times were good too...

70 68 67 69 67 66

Didn't feel hard at all although I'm glad I didn't go for more.

Conditioning 17:51 [3]
ahr:98 max:119

Some easy ankle rehab stuff and plank for 3 min. Achilles a bit sore, but another day off tomorrow should make everything ready for Sunday.

Running 50:40 [3] 11.36 km (4:28 / km) +34m 4:24 / km
ahr:150 max:176

4x8 min @ 3:50 / km. This was quite hard actually, I was planning to do 5 but struggled with 4 even though doing 40 minutes at threshold pace should be easy. Heart felt good, just legs are tired likely from the double yesterday.

Not as confident about going anything under 3:50/km on Sunday which is unfortunate since a sub 80 min half-marathon would be a cool goal to break :(

Either way, the REAL goal is NAOC and an even more important goal for me is a 15:XX 5km before I get out of school so that's the plan.
5 PM

Hiking 1:02:30 [3] 3.22 km (19:24 / km) +27m 18:37 / km
ahr:82 max:116

Hiking 1:17:42 [3] 2.85 km (27:15 / km) +14m 26:35 / km
ahr:76 max:103

Note

Had a bit of an odd week, don't want to make the same mistake this week, thus I'm avoiding any bike intervals and will be extra careful on the threshold work that I am doing.

Monday: 40 min recovery run | 1 hour indoor cycling easy
Tuesday: 5x8 minutes @ 3:50 / km | Treadhills 45 min
Wednesday: 30-45 min swimming
Thursday: 5x5 minutes @ 3:45 / km | 4x400m @ 70s
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Pre-race = 5 min easy, 5 min HM pace, strides + drills
Sunday: 13.1 miles @ 6:00 / mi pace (3:45 / km hopefully)

Mostly just prep and taper for the half marathon. Might cut down on the volume Thursday and get rid of the 400s in the evening. But overall volume is still pretty low after Tuesday, yet maintaining some intensity.

Plan is to start the race between 3:50 and 4:00 / km and work my way down if I feel good. I think I should be able to hold somewhere between this range for the whole thing.
9 AM

Running 48:42 [3] 8.43 km (5:47 / km) +93m 5:29 / km
ahr:137 max:166

Recovery run with some strides at the end. Legs are feeling great! Some rest really helped, ankle is good and knee feels good. Excited for this week!
4 PM

Running 51:39 [3] 8.61 km (6:00 / km) +67m 5:46 / km
ahr:137 max:156

Was going to bike with Sohit, but he bailed so I did a double with Katie instead. Legs never felt so good! Ankle also holding up well, still doing PT and stuff and will do some additional strength work to try and make sure it doesn't happy again.
