Running long 3:00:15 [3]
shoes: Salomon Sense Mantra

Long run from home through Evatt and Girralang, then had that horrible need to find a toilet. Luckily the Kaleen shops were open. Headed off through Kaleen to North Lyneham, then edged along the Barton Hwy. I wiggled my way through Downer and across to Hackett. Arrived about 30sec late which was a worry since Miss Jones was there, along with Devil, MaryMac, SwissMiss and Carol. I headed off towards Ainslie with Miss Jones and Devil, who was sporting bright orange compression socks and bright red shoes. I dropped back a bit then headed to the top of Ainslie from the sub-station. I came out at the top of the steps just as Devil was approaching the bottom of the steps. A gel and some water at the top then down, via Tricky Track, and over Hackett Hill. Devil went up Majura and I ran with Miss Jones down the Gravel track to the cars. MaryMac wasn't back so I headed up north on the CCT then up Majura via the steps to the saddle, and finally back down the main walking track. This will be my last long run before the TNF.

Breakfast at Sfoglia with MaryMac and Devil - coffee, milkshake and scrambled eggs and bacon on half a toasted foccaccia.

Running 2:00:15 [3]
shoes: North Face Hayasa II (red)

MaryMac dropped me at Parkrun at Lake G as I was helping today. I was handing out the finish tokens so got to spend about 45 minutes standing in the rain and cold.

MaryMac was doing presidential duties at Orienteering at Remembrance Park, behind the War Memorial, so I decided to run over there. It was raining gently when I set off and it took a while for my feet to 'warm up'. I was wearing my new waterproof pants over some tights and they were great. Nice fit and no swish-swish sounds.

Over to Aranda playing fields then across into Black Mt. Some flatter fire trails then some hilly ones and up a faint track to Circumcision then over the top and down to the lower car park, and onto the track that leads down to the water tanks. Left and around the back of the botanic gardens, through CSIRO, Turner, Haigh Park, and Ainslie. I did a bit more along the fire trails to bring up the 2 hrs.

Breakfast was coffee and a friand at the War Memorial cafe - had a nice chat with Lizzie and Lukas.

Running 32:45 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Run home from work. Originally I was going to ride but felt like a run instead, so just carried my ay-ups in my hand - plenty of light but wobbles all over the place.
