In a very odd coincidence, my friends cabin in Wisconsin where I'm staying is only a few km away from 'After Hours Ski Trails', one place of about 20 I stopped for a run when I did my cross Canada road trip to move to Hamilton in 2010.
https://attackpoint.org/viewlog.jsp/user_2681/peri...Since it's nearly 10 years ago to the day, and everyone else went out golfing this morning I decided to head out and rerun.
Somewhat unusual experience as you go along and remember bits and pieces from a random run 10 years previous.
I made the mistake of wearing relatively minimal shoes; achilles, calves and soles of my feet were screaming.
The trails were in better condition than I remember - though I wonder if they are only cleared once or twice a month through the summer (doesn't seem like a lot of people would use them), and I got lucky this time with mostly only calf high vegetation along the trails.
Still, a fun thing to redo.
