10.50am: DVOA Event -Hibernian State Park- Brown Course.
First time orienteering in 2021 and first time running or jogging in over 6 months. Excited to determine how rusty my skills would be. Had problems with the first control, the trail disappeared and didn’t read the contours and overshot. After that fairly clean until control 8. Running on the compass, I was vearing to the left consistently.
Enjoyed course except going into 9 where it was a felled area. Fun course and great to be out in the woods.

12.30pm: Finally we got to Storm King sculpture park. A gorgeous day. Really enjoyed walking around. Particularly enjoyed Maya Lin’s ‘wave field’ And the Andy Goldsworthy serpentine wall.
