8.45am: 50 degF and raining. Carol and I had a nice but wet walk along the river. Didn’t see too many people out. The cherry blossom on Kelly Drive was looking great even in the rain. Nice to get out and be in nature and get some fresh air.

10.20am: Sunny day with a decent breeze, 45 degF. Cycled the loop and down to end of trail below South street bridge and back via the skateboard park. Steady pace, but did not push it. Latter part, there were a lot of kids on bikes and scooters so had to slow down a lot. Still nice to be outside taking some exercise.

10.35am: Sunny, 47 degF with a slight breeze. Carol and I decided a walk in the woods is what was really needed so headed out to the Wissahickon to soak up some nature. We took Jackie-O (our 18 week old miniature daschound) on her first walk there. It was a real favorite of Ellie’s. Walked out on Forbidden Drive to the covered bridge and back along the trails on the east side. A lot of people also out and you could overheat many conversations about the coronavirus situation. It was really nice to be out in the woods. I was thinking of going orienteering to Batsco tomorrow as it is one of my favorite DVOA terrain, but it has been canceled.
