Trail Running 25:00 [0] 1.2 km (20:50 / km)

Picking up controls after morning exercise.

Orienteering race (Sprint) 27:50 [4] 3.2 km (8:42 / km)

A fun sprint, only real mistake was 14-15 when somehow i dropped too low after the main trail and hit another main trail. Took close to a minute to relocate, then a slog back up the hill to the control.

Note

2010 NE Junior Training Camp: Blue Mountain Reservation, Peekskill, NY

A great w/e of training, well rganized and much needed exercise in the woods. Jeff Saeger, Sam, Ross, Ian Smith and others led the w/e. A big thanks to Janet porter, Carol, MaryJo and Judy for their hard work in the kitchen.

running (track) 13:23 [4] 3.0 km (4:28 / km)

3k time trail on a local track. 0.42 (200m) 1.42, 1.45, 1.49, 1.52, 1.51, 1.53, 1.49. Got lapped twice by Ross - Oh well!!

running (Warmup / cool down) 12:00 [1] 1.2 km (10:00 / km)

Orienteering (Control Picking Exercise) 30:00 [2] 2.4 km (12:30 / km) +100m 10:21 / km

Good exercise. I was sloppy in places with the fine navigation.

Orienteering 40:00 [3] 3.7 km (10:49 / km) +100m 9:31 / km

Denmark Training Course By Alexis: Trail Running + fine navigation from attack point.
Took wrong option out of start. Blew 2-3 by doing a 90deg error out of 2 and at one point was totally lost and having a hard time relocating. Clean run after that, though the fitness level was not there.

running 44:30 [2] 5.0 mi (8:54 / mi)
weight:198.2lbs shoes: Asics 2140

Finally a run after 3 weeks of nothing. Back felt okay, just above my knees hurt. 3 weeks was a long time to not be running so felt sluggish. Definitely need to be on a diet.
8.51, 8.37, 4.22, (1.00 rest), 4.10, 8.34, 8.57.

walking 55:00 [1] 4.0 mi (13:45 / mi)
shoes: Asics 2140

Woke up early and decided to try going for a walk/run to test whether my back was up to it. Walked 2 miles, ran 1 mile, that was enough as could feel it starting to hurt then walked back from Lloyd Hall. It is nice to start in the dark and watch the morning light come up.

Note
(injured)

Injured, back getting better but still not ready to run

Tuesday Mar 2, 2010 #

Note
(injured)

Planning for an early morning run, when I slipped on the stair and bounced down the last 4 risers on my backside and back. Definetely hurts. The depressing part was just having been to the chiropractor and had a massage over the w/e, this happens!!
