8.55 am: Partly sunny, 44degF with a decent headwind on the way out to Valley Forge. Had to get off bike on path after Manayunk for a short bit to skirt the flooded path. Very few riders. Got sunnier and warmer as I cycled back. A good steady enjoyable ride.

Cycling 3:52:29 [2] 51.48 mi (4:31 / mi)
ahr:134 max:183 rhr:67 slept:7.5 shoes: Bike: Jamis Coda Comp - hybrid

9.20am: Partly cloudy, 42 degF and 22 mph winds. Cycled out to the dog park beyond Oaks. Slow work as a head wind for a good portion of the way. Chilly. Took coffee in sealed contigo mug and it was only tepid 2 hours later at turn around point, but still felt good as regular coffee place closed. Coming back was great in places with a good tail wind, but was definitely fading in energy. By end my thigh muscles were as tight as could be. Still it was good to get out for a long ride.

6.56am: Foggy morning. Good to see a decent line outside the polling stations before the polls actually opened. An encouraging sign hopefully to get some sanity and dignity back in government.
Run felt good, for the first time in about a month. Have struggled recently.

Hiking 2:15:20 [1] 5.01 mi (27:01 / mi)
ahr:92 max:123 rhr:48

8.45am: The clocks went back, so it was a nice hour to be out in the Wissahicken for a walk with Carol and Ellie. The light was good in the autumn colors. Walked out on the trails beyond the Covered bridge and back to bridge on a trail I had never actually been on. Walked back on Forbidden Drive from the covered bridge. It felt really good to be out in the woods.
