running 47:10 [2] 5.5 mi (8:35 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:195.2lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline AR7

Another nice mild day for this time of year but a little cloudy. Slowish run along the river. Still annoyed about Carol and I getting our credit cards stolen from the parking lot on the east side of Valley Green yesterday while we were out running. Not sure how they got in the locked car as no signs of damage. They only took credit cards, not bank cards.
9.01, 8.12, 6.05, 6.23, 8.17, (1.00 waterstop), 8.17

Trail Running 33:26 [2] 3.5 mi (9:33 / mi)
slept:7.5 weight:194.2lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline AR7

Wissahicken Trails: Started at Valley Green along the trails on the east side of river, past the Indian statue and kept on high trail above Covered Bridge, took a left fork at one point when should have taken the right fork, and ended up running along trail by river to Bell's Mill Road, crossed bridge and ran back along Forbidden Drive to Covered Bridge where met Carol and Ellie.

walking 29:00 [1] 2.0 mi (14:30 / mi)

Walked back to Valley Green with Ellie while Carol ran

Note

3.45pm Massage- much needed, my legs were really tight. Hips still out of alighnment. Need to get to Tony soon to correct.
Discovered my credit cards were missing - turns out carol's was as well. It could only have happened at the parking lot at Valley Green.

running 43:18 [2] 5.1 mi (8:29 / mi)
slept:6.5 weight:196lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline AR7

Woke up early so went for a run along the river at 5.15am. A dreary dreich day when I started and the rain did increase at points along the way which in the dark was okay and not depressing. 8.18, 4.09, 4.12, 8.29, 8.50. Felt good to be out.

running 49:46 [1] 6.85 km (7:16 / km)
slept:8.0

Kippen: Early afternoon run wirh Carol and Alison up the Black Braes, past the gun club and along to wright park. Had to stop and walk at Wright Park for sheep to move over and the sheep dogs at the house. Pushed up the hill on the Old Fintry Road with Alison and enjoyed the long downhil to the Dasher Farm turn off which was pretty muddy. Pushed up the Dasher Farm Hill, though slippy in the mud and water in a few places. Cut over to the Dasher Farm road and back up the road to Tirranmuir. I really like this run as there are 3 good hill work-outs, though the steep one up from the football field is too wet without studs on.
Fun to be running with Alison and Carol.

Note

Celebrated an early Thanksgiving Dinner so Alison did not miss out on it being in Scotland and an early birthday dinner for my mum. There was 14 of us including young Thomas, Neil and Rebecca new baby. It was good to see everyone and spend time at home seeing my mum who is alas getting more frail

Attended the Carpenters Company of London "Livery" Dinner, a white tie affair which was pretty special occaision sitting the head table as President of the Philadelphia Company opposite the new Lord Mayor of London. It was good to catch up with friends at the London Company.

Tuesday Nov 15, 2011 #

Note

Arrived in London. Headed to the City for an interesting meeting with a company called Vpod, then Carol and I had a good walk around Covent Garden and up to near St Pancras.

Sloppy in the circle both one and two. Clean to three, then had a hard time making sense of the map at four so lost about 4-5 mins. Pretty clean the rest of the way round.
Gave a ride to Roland Knorr a German orienteer over for 3 weeks at Penn. Had good discussions with him on the ride to and from Philly. He mentioned an interesting 24 hour relay each year in late Spring on Germanu. Sound fun. Nice to have company with Alison and Heathet being away.

Erg 15:00 [3]
slept:7.5 weight:197lbs

Nice Ti have the extra hours sleep though the body clock woke me up at 5.30.
Carol headed out for the Bridge 10k run, I managed 15 mins on EEG beforeheading to Airport to go to Atlanta.
Focused on trying to get technique right. Still needs work, should watch the video until I get it mastered. Burnt 161 cals. It is a great workout that will require a while to build up to get themost out of it and for the first time since working in the "fish factory" as a summer job I coulddevelop some upper body strength!

Note

Morning flight to Atlanta for the CoreNet Global Summit. Visited the new CoreNet Global HQ which was involved in as a collaborative team for the design and change management. The space looked great, a couple of areas in particular with amazing views that I know I would camp out in.
Excellent dinner with some friends who were part of the collaboration at EMPIRE STATE SOUTH - strongly recommend. The food was fabulous.
