Early morning run. Cold below freezing with a frost on the ground. Finally had the right amount of clothing. My lower back and hips are out of alignment - need to get to chiropractor. Still good to be out.

Up at 5.00am to take Alison to the airport back to Boulder - will miss my running partner for a few weeks. Waited until it was abit warmer then had a nice run along the river - felt warm in the sun and had about the right amount of clothing on for a change.

TNT run with Alison at Wissahicken from Sandy's house down to Forbidden drive and 3/4 mile beyond Valley Green. Went at a decent pace
6.28 down to path, 14.52 to turn around, 14.49 back, 0.32 rest and 8.43 back up hill to sandy's. Walked a bit on the flat part of the trail. Fun to be running with Alison - she left me when I took a rest at the bottom of the hill.

Tired, but a beautiful day. Ran along the river, watched the lead marathon runners fly past - no way I could have completed 26.2 miles, plodding along for 5 was plenty. 9.18, 12.24 (1.5 miles), 0.44 rest, 12.20 (1.5 miles), 0.38 waterstop, 8.13.

Alison arrived home for Thanksgiving which was great to see her.

Early morning run along the river. Got blocked by a train so had to backtrack a bit and go up the Parkway - very foggy which in the dark gave quite an eerie atmostphere. 10.27, 8.29, 8.29 - Ended up walking back from Lloyd Hall.

Ran the loop in Valley Forge Park while Heather had volleyball try-outs. A beautiful day , mid 60's deg F. Felt sluggish to start with, it shows not doing much running the last few weeks + having put a few lbs back on! Anyway, kept pushing myself along when wanting to slow the pace.

DVOA Quail Hill Event NJ - Green Course
Got there early with Heather to learn about the epunch set-up. Had an early run to discover we had problems with the epunch system - estimate about 36 mins for th 4.3k green course. A good course from Doug Sevin especially as it was his first time. As it was a 1:5000 map opted to try to run hard. three issues, one my fitness having been sick wasn't up to it, second, I forgot my O-pants so was opting to avoid briar areas and three still having issues with running on a compass bearing. I definitely need to focus on this skill.
We had a massive turn-out from scouts, which was great -hopefully some will keep up the sport - our future needs them.

Finally starting to feel like a normal human being again! Not so congested and just a minor tickle on the throat. Went for a morning run at dawn 6.00am along the river. (39 deg F) Buff's are a great invention - used it as a filter so I wasn't breathing the cold air directly into the lungs. felt pretty good considering I haven't run in 2 weeks.

Went to the doctor who felt what I have is a virus and not bacterial, which basically means it just has to take it's course. Hopefully not too long.

Feeling lousy with sore throat and chest cold. Vetted some controls for the middle course and some for the long course.
A great event, bummer to be feeling so crappy. Fun social for the Senior Team and games evening for the Junior Team.

Busy day, so no time for exercise. Still tired, so hopefully not comoing down with something. Got to the chiropractor which helped, my back and right ankle were definitely out of alignment.
