Late afternoon run - still feeling frustrated about last week at work, so listening to Runrig started off a little fast.

Up early for a run along the river - quite a week between having a sore throat and feeling week and at work chasing after a significant project where the saga continues again next week. Needed the run to clear the head a bit. 8.33, 7.56, 4.02, 4.08, 7.57, 7.55 Felt good to push along and to be out.

Morning run along the river - very windy, new shoes and a new wind jacket. Got a great deal on the jacket at Rittenhouse Sports. Well it is certainly windproof compared to the old Nike one I have - I coud have done with a thinner middle layer. Have a nasty sore throat and generally feeling pretty run down. 8.46,12.19 (1.5miles), 4.00, 7.58, 8.19. Definitely feeling tired the last mile.

Later though feeling very tired and weak - throat sore - hoping the salt water gargle helps

Had planned to run, but getting a nasty sore throat. It was a very windy day with gusts over 40mph - by the high rises in town thought I was going to be blown over on a couple if instances.

Not exactly a rest day - early start up to NYC for a meeting

Went to see Herb Albert and his wife Leni at the Keswick Theater. Great back-up band. Herb Albert was amazing, but I wasn't so wild about Leni singing - a good voice, but not my "cup of tea"

Got woken up just before 3.00am by a text message alert on Carol's phone - ignored it by started to think perhaps it may be important someone texting her at that hour - parents getting older etc. anyway I couldn't get back to sleep so at 5.15 got on the stairmaster. a steady pace for the first 1500 then pushed the last 500.
Crazy long day at work preparing a proposal for a major project - ground to an exhausted halt by 10.00pm

Up early for 2000 steps. Got into a rythmn that felt good then pushed hard for the last 500 steps.

Up early as felt the need for some exercise and concerned about not seeing the black ice in the dark so opted for the stair master. Took a bit to get going then stepped up the pace and pushed hard.

Up early and on the stairmaster before work. A slow start then after 500 steps got in gear. Got a good sweat going.
