Attempted Las Trampas Corona course. Found 1. Tried to contour, but ended up high on trail which I should have taken in the beginning, and then had to come long ways down spur. Similarly going to 2. Tried cross country. Found unmapped trail (I thik it was an illegal mountain bike trail), which seemed to be headed for the trail on the map crossing the reentrant. However, it too went back up to the main trail, and had to come down a spur. Saw a couple of huge rootstocks, which I thought one of which was probably the control, but didn't see any streamer. At this point it was almost noon, and I had spent 1:20 on the first 2 controls, so aborted the course. Las Trampas is just too sttep and rugged for me in my shape.

Walkk back to car after aborting O course. Followed map to what I thought was a gate. It was a gate, but big signs sayin Private Property, No Trespassing, Guard Dogs. Saw another trail on edge of map, went to that, and finally got back to car.
