Running 38:43 [5] 7.15 km (5:25 / km)
ahr:148 max:171

6 laps around Parc Monceau in Paris. Averaged about 5:13/km. A young woman was running in the opposite direction from me, and we were running at approximately the same speed as we would pass each other twice each lap at about the same places. She was a little faster than I was except for the last lap and a half. It was a little motivation to keep going, as I find running laps extremely boring.

Drizzly but not bad for running except my glasses got pretty bleary by the end. Also I had forgotten to remove my hearing aids before running and I was a little concerned they would get wet. It's hard to keep track of all the mechanical devices you need when you get old.

539 cals.

Running 39:24 [4] 5.66 mi (6:58 / mi)
ahr:143 max:181

5 laps in Parc Monceau in Paris, which is about 4 or 5 blocks from the aparment we are renting for the week. There is a perimeter hard packed dirt path around the park that is almost exactly 1 km. Did 5 laps. Got lost coming back as I had taken the wrong street leaving the park. There are about 5 streets coming into the main gate. Fortunately I had taken my arrondisement map book with me, and after a few embarassing moments, finally figured out where I was. Felt pretty achey and stiff after the run, since I have not run in over a week.
