This was a bit of a disaster. Realised when we got to the beach that it was not aa flat as anticipated but decided to have a go anyway. Felt surprisingly good at the start, heading more or less into the wind, was a bit more challenging adding some rebound off the marina, and then, once round the corner, out I went. From there I kept falling oit more and more often - clearly it didn’t take too long for me to reach the endurance limit of my under used core muscles.
Didn’t think heading back the way we came was a feasible option, so walked barefoot across sand, hot carpark , random grass track, rocky embankment and beach, more sand then footpath back to the car - so not only a paddling fail, bit also have big blisters on the bottom of my feet.
