Right achilles was sore before running yesterday, but calmed down a lot during the Warm up and didn’t bother me at all during the run. Got sore once I cooled down and walking was pretty uncomfortable in the afternoon. Worse again today. Really can’t walk properly at all. Boo.

Started too hard. Blew up by half way. Knew I was going to win after about 100m. HR data very strange. Achilles have been sore for about a week. Either from playing a lot of 3v3 basketball on a school trip or a bit of stuffing around in the gym on Tuesday.

A couple of good reminders today. When it’s really windy and you fall out, you need to get upwind of the ski before attempting remount (especially in an annoying pfd). Also far tippier travelling downwind.
It was very windy, seaweedy and not very pleasant. Not sure if the lack of speed into the wind was entirely the wind, orcif I had weed on the rudder too. Wasn’t even much fun trying to catch waves, so bailed early, but was at least feeling fairly stable and confident by the end.
