Took 45 minutes to get from bed to leaving this morning, but felt OK for the most part. Pretty warm and humid, knee a bit niggly in the second half, but felt better at the end than previous long runs.

Ran past Matt Priddis and some other Eagles player doing a bit of a recovery / having a morning dip after their preseason hitout in town yesterday. Thought briefly about stopping for a selfie, but I'm not a knob (or an Eagles fan), so I let him get on with it.

Highlight of the whole thing was the AFL page describing Wonthella Oval as "just metres from Wonthella train station." Ummm - that train line hasn't been there for 10 years and I don't think there was ever actually a stop where Google maps suggests there is. Hope nobody tried train jumping along Gerladton-Mt Magnet Rd and ended up at the Port instead of the footy oval.

This felt really good. Wish it was because I was getting fitter. Probably just because I'm fresh after a week off.

Too tired to even contemplate running this week. Don't really know why. Last weekend's camp to Perth and lack of sleep probably have something to do with it.

First run in new shoes that I picked up for $100 from the saucony website. Felt great.
