From Subiaco, out round bits of Lake Monger and Herdsman and home. A touch longer than intended as I forgot how far along the edge of Herdsman I would have to run before I could get out to Herdsman Parade (unless I wanted to jump a fence and run through an apartment block carpark. I am not Wil, so I waited for a road).

Wasn't entirely sure that I was going to enjoy this run, but was looking forward to some Perth scenery for a change and woke up just before my alarm, so figured that was a reasonable sign.
Rolled downhill through the edge of Kings Park and was starting to wonder how I would keep my mind occupied for 2hrs when Craig popped out onto the path about 20 metres in front of me. We were headed in roughly the same direction, so decided to run together. Kept a fairly solid pace going - faster than I had been planning for a long run - and had a good catch up. The time passed so much faster than normal that it actually caught me by surprise when Craig peeled off to go home and I had to make up some loops through Kings Park on my own to get my distance done.
Felt good when I finished, but pretty knackered for a fair chunk of the day afterwards.

Ahhh -finally. Swimming carnival followed by a drive to Perth made this a good day not to be running.

Humid but not too hot this morning. Only 23 at 6am ;)

Legs felt surprisingly good. Achilles not wonderful.

Looking forward to a day off tomorrow.

After finally running on Monday and getting set for today's rest day, I faced up to the fact that it would be very hard to run before my swimming carnival. Pretty standard short morning effort. Took a couple of km's for the legs to get going. Feeling alright at the end. 6 x ??m surges on the oval before heading home.
