Spent yesterday driving a bus around the Swan Valley for Penny's work Christmas do. Dropped it back to Burswood this morning and ran home. Went over the Causeway and along the river coz I thought it would be a nicer run.
Felt really comfortable throughout, except slight l achilles niggle started around 13km. Still haven't started rehab exercises for them. Oops.

After delaying yesterday's run till the afternoon, I got stuck at work for a couple of hours longer than anticipated and didn't run at all.

Unisipired morning trundle today. Left achilles a bit niggly for quite a while. Definitely at a point where I need to start being a bit careful and a bit proactive about it, otherwise the March NOL could turn into a repeat of Easter 2011.

Hmmm.

Sunday I felt dreadful and didn't want to do anything much more energetic than get out of bed. Monday, still felt a bit ordinary, so decided to take the weekly rest day up front. Tuesday morning I reset my alarm, then also failed to run Tuesday afternoon, as I was pretty stuffed after lunchtime.

Wednesday I didn't feel too bad. Not energetic enough to get up in the morning, but I was all set to brave the weather in the evening till I remembered a prior engagement.

So, today was the first run of the week. Still not feeling 100%, so decided to run before coaching and try the hard session later in the week if at all. Given that I felt a bit wheezy through much of the run, it might have been a good move.

Felt comfortable throughout except for freezing briefly when one rain squall came through as I was on the baordwalk between City and Floreat beaches. Not much beach left after yesterday's storm.

Hadn't hatched the plan to run before coaching early enough to pack warm clothes to stand around in, so froze up pretty badly by the time I got in the car to go home.
