cycle 1:11:19 [2] 34.0 km (2:06 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Was feeling restless and grumpy. I may have reached the limit of my capabilities to deal with not training. There was no wind, and it had cooled down a little, so I headed out for a bike ride. Not really meant to be training, more just a chance to clear the brain and the legs and hopefully feel more relaxed. Seemed to work.
Down Brighton to the coast, along the footpath to Challenger, back on the footpath to Curtin ave, north up Marine parade, then North Street, and back up the highway to Brighton and up the hill to home.
Took it nice and easy, apart from a short burst on the way home where I drafted a truck. Only proved that I'm not very fit, then back to normal. Good fun, apart from the one loser who had to yell at me as his mate nearly squeezed me off the road in an effort to prove how small his penis was.

Got sick of Attackpoint trying to tell me how to start using my log, so despite the fact that I'm going to do very little of any training consequence for the next week and a half, I went for a paddle. Felt OK. Tried with a longer foot position on the way out from Banks to Tranby House. Left glute and leg went sore, then numb as usual. Was marginally better on the way back, when I reverted to a more familiar position.
Paddling could be quite peaceful and enjoyable if I was more comfortable sitting in the boat. Should try and do something about that I s'pose.

Contemplated the floreat ride this morning, but after the joys of backyard camping with the kids and not getting to sleep till 1:30am, E's 5:06am wakeup call didn't inspire me to go riding.

Oh well, what's another couple of weeks before starting to exercise again...
