run (Carine Open Space Loop) 59:10 [3] 12.5 km (4:44 / km)
shoes: Asics 3000

Stock standard run in the early afternoon. A bit warm, but not too bad.

First run with knee taped. Hurt quite a bit. Medial knee pain started after 15-20 minutes and tendon pain soon after. Pretty uncomfortable. Don't know if I stuffed the taping up a bit or if it just isn't going to be a miracle fix. The tape had pretty much sweated off by the time I finished the run. At least it didn't rub badly where I expected it to, but I do have a blister in a different spot from under the Fixamul.

Oh well, slowly slowly. Hopefully combination of tape and rehab exercises will get things moving in the right direction.

cycle 1:10:30 [3] 31.0 km (2:16 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Ride to school via Clarkson to pick up a key. The footpath down the side of Connolly Drive is poo. So is swallowing flies.

cycle (commute) 1:03:00 [3] 32.0 km (1:58 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Home via the physio. Excitement for the ride wasn't the helpful tailwind, it was the random stranger who decided to attack me... riding through ?Kingsley? I see a white car by the side of the road, both doors open, see a bloke get into the car as I approach, I swing a bit wide as I get closer in case he gets back out, when suddenly he rushes at me and swings a tie-down strap at me. Think he was trying to get it through my front wheel, but fortunately it bounced off the front of my tyre. Weird. I rather politely (given the circumstances) asked him what the hell he thought he was doing... didn't catch much of the reply, but I'm pretty sure it had the word poofter in there somewhere...

run 1:02:21 [3] 11.73 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon 2

After skipping running on Tuesday to try to fix a computer (rather unsuccessfully) then cooking myself in the sun yesterday before bailing on a windtrainer session coz it was too hot and I am marshmallow soft, I finally did some traininig today.

Morning run from school, out to the coast, then north and into the 4WD tracks. Back to Quinns beach along the sand to meet up with other staff for part of their Term 4 weightloss campaign.

Got a bit annoyed (read loud and abusive) when a couple of dogs decided they would try to run along between my legs at one point. Probably not the best way to handle the situation...

run warm up/down (sand) 16:53 [2] 2.63 km (6:25 / km)
shoes: barefoot

Easy jog with Joel and Hoff along the hard sand. Refreshing dip in the ocean after. Tough start to the day :)

Windtrainer 20:00 [1]
shoes: Avanti Blade

My calves seized up really badly after running this morning, so I combined gym supervision with an easy spin to try ro get things working again. Limited success

On an entirely unrelated topic, the point I turned around this morning was a yellow subaru wreck that looked very much like Tooms' old beast.
