same paddle as last week. On my own this time. Felt ok, but started to get blisters on my left hand in last 10 minutes. May have to try paddling with gloves or tape my fingers next weekend to see if these options are feasible for race in a fortnight...

Saw a group of about 6 dolphins today. Got a real shock when one surfaced less than a metre in front of my ski.

weekend laziness kicked in again. Spent the morning clearing out the garage for bulk rubbish collection, then mowed the lawn and got hayfevery, then couldn't be bothered doing anything, so instead of training Iate pizza and drank beer. Far more relaxing.

Slightly better effort heading home. Still nowhere near flat out. Top of hammies were sore this morning, but loosened up after a minimal stretch whilst watcing kiddies perform in "artsfest' this arvo and no bother coming home.

Similar way to last Thursday. School to Clayton's, then limestone path and into the dunes. Stayed behind the first row of dunes this week. Knee feeling pretty good, stronger pace than last week. Fekt a bit flat and hungry for the last 20 minutes. Not enough for dinner last night.

Surprised how normal my legs felt this morning. Lungs were still feeling the effects of last night though. Not so cold this am and not as slow as expected.

Wind was not so frindly for the return journey as it generally has been recently, and I was low on motivation and energy, so just cruised home. Felt pretty much back to normal again.

John must have overdosed on evil pills this afternoon. I thought he was joking when he told us the session. I was waiting for the 'but you only have to start from the path part way up' bit, but it never came.
sets of 4-3-2-1, recovering down, with 2 minutes extra recovery between sets. John cut this to one minute rec to avoid the dark at the end, but I needed every second of the 2 min and could have done with some more by the second half of the session.
Deliberately took it slower than last week, but still blew up totally by the end
