run long 1:41:40 [3] 19.4 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Early arvo group run withEvo, tRicky, Tooms, Wade, MTBjen and Wil. From City Beach shops. Run up the beach with the wind behind us, up and down the grass strips, around the drive in (lost Wil somehow here), over the limestone ridge, up Reabold, bridle trail for a bit, grass farm, SAS, beach, Floreat home to shops.
Felt OK when cruising on the flat, but legs felt empty as soon as we hit any hills and I was struggling. Nice to see Tooms reckons I was just cruising along behind when he and Pete surged. truth was I was knackered and simply couldn't keep up.
Seemed to help clear up headache a little and have pulled up pretty well.
Good to finally meet Wade. Should be a good fit for an AR buddy.

cycle (commute) 1:05:00 [3] 29.0 km (2:14 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Had planned a longer ride before a late start at school this morning, but didn't work out. Once again my sinuses have played up after ocean swim yesterday so didn't sleep well and feel a bit headachey and generally crap this morning. Left home 15 minutes late, felt slow and lethargic, punctured on Marmion Ave and gave up and dribbled inot school. Better than nothing I guess, but only just

cycle (commute) 57:00 [3] 29.0 km (1:58 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Really didn't want to be at work today. Felt rubbish, was cold from 9am till I left, didn't have lunch and gradually got more and more grumpy with the world.
Leaving to go home and needing desperately to warm up my tired, lethargic, can-t be-bothered grumpiness morphed for no apparent reason into angry grumpiness and I started riding pretty hard.
Legs and lungs felt much better than the morning. Head/sinuses were awful, but riding at least doesn't make it any worse. Much faster, much happier, much warmer when I got home.

Went to Anaconda and found their sunnies with interchangeable lenses were even cheaper than advertised at a huge $10 each. Got one of each colour and oe extra by accident, so I now have 5 pairs of sunnies with 3 pairs of lenses each. Hmmm. Probably overkill. Anyone want a pair??

run (Herdsman Loop) 1:04:55 [3] 13.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Regular loop, minus a few little bits on the limestone tracks - the first one coz I missed a turn in the dark, and the others coz it was too dark to run on them and see what I wa sabout to step into. Felt a little leg weary (doing nothing will do tha tto you) but the rest of the body felt good.

Note

Bailed out of another training session this morning. Stomach was very grumpy after dinner last night and I slept really badly.

run race (Golf Course Time Trial) 17:44 [5] 5.0 km (3:33 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Once again headed into time trial without a clue how I'd run. Enforced taper, but not 100% over stomach bug yet. Obviously didn't affect the legs. Started strong. Took it a bit easy on the first flats round the back side of the course, but pretty solid. Really surprised with time, given how far in front some others finished.
A big 5yr PB, so very happy with that. Have to check with Tooms how far off al time PB that was. Getting some consistency back to running 3 times per week obviously helps. Who knows what might happen if I ever get back to 4 or 5...

run warm up/down 25:00 [1] 4.5 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Easy warmup, cooldown and a fw runthroughs
