Stock standard solo paddle from Banks reserve to Garret Rd Bridge. Felt OK when it was dead flat. Felt like a gumby as soon as I hit any boat-induced chop and fell in once to compound that feeling.

Pretty one-paced. Solid but not spectacular. Felt like I got into a much better stroke thna Friday night. Must have done soething different coz I felt it a lot less in my arms.

there was a guy on the bank teaching a couple of peope paddling technique when I finished. Should have stuck around within earshot and learned how to do it properly.

Evo must have gone the other way. His car was in the carpark when I got back, but I never saw him.

Was guilted into taking the in-laws car to work this morning instead of riding, but after setting my alarm for 6:30pm and waking up after 7 was very glad for it. Made the evening paddle seem like a good idea having done very little else today. Struggled a bit (or Evo was nusually strong). Couldn't get the stroke feeling good tonight. Was glassy on the return run after the wind dropped off. Not as cold as expected.

Banks Reserve - Old Swan Brewery, back on South side of river.

Only slightly worrying moment was when I thought the boatload full of drunken idiots we saw near the end was considering turning around to have a run at us, but they were just weaving randomly all over the river...

A morning I'd rather forget. It was wet, cold and dark when I started, my light died after only a few minutes, which made wet paths more dicey that I would have liked given he amount of skin I'm still missing from last week. Punctured at Burns beach Rd, didn't find the offending piece of glass that was wedged in my tyre so punctured again 3km later. Thirty minute walk from there to school. Grrrr

Really shouldn't have done this because my knee was sore walking, but was goaded into action by some pathetic year 8's whingeing about how unfair it was getting into trouble for not completing the cross country course in 24 minutes. After walking the first lap very slowly, ran 2 laps to show them how easy it was (2 laps being the 'complete' course). Had a couple of minutes to spare... Knee felt pretty good running, but was sore afterwards.

Got confused by the roadworks at the end of the freeway and too a detiur through the Joondalup commercial area and along Moore drive to get out to Marmion.
Kne had improved somewhat today so thought I'd see if it could handle riding. All seems ok, so may just ride more, limit running and basketbll for a couple of weks. Not as much of a setbac as I'd feared.

Home again. Bit of a headwind, but felt pretty good. Knee still ok.

May get a major increase in riding in the next couple of weeks whether I like it or not. Car went in for servicing and they changed their mind how long it will take to fix the three minoe accidents from the last few years. Not 3-4 working days, but 10... hmmmm... not too close with the first estimate. Better go and buy some replacement nix for the ones I destroyed last week :)

Really getting frustrated now. Bike injuries are healing fine and don't really stop me from doing anything, but I have to stop living in denial about other problems.I have had hints of patella tendinitis since a few weeks before the rogaine, but it was very minor and not changing... mostly noticed it playing basketball at school.
Well, last week it began to hurt a bit more. Felt it a bit whilst running the downhills in last weeks interval session. It seems that Saturday's race has done some more significant damage. Quite sore when walking. Set my alarm for an early morning run this morning but gave up after getting out of bed. Hasn't improved so far this morning. Looks like giving the doc another visit. It's sore right at the base of my patella which is different to where the pain has normally been with this sort of thing (usually at the tibial tuberosity).
So... back to needing to see more than one medico to get myself sorted out. Grrrr.
Will have to test it out on the bike tomorrow. If that goes pear-shaped I may have to re-invent myself as a paddler :-)
