paddle 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: spirit plastic CTR

First paddle for a few weeks. Felt like a gumby for about 5 minutes, then the body remembered what to do. Nice to have a warm still morning. Bit of a haedwind on the return trip.

cycle (commute) 36:00 [2] 16.0 km (2:15 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

to and from school

cycle (commute) 35:00 [2] 16.0 km (2:11 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Both ways... nice to have a steady tailwind home for a change

run warm up/down 15:20 [1] 3.0 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: adistar control

warm-up lap of the cross country course and cooldown after session for 5 min around the oval.

run intervals 23:00 [5] 5.7 km (4:02 / km)
shoes: adistar control

Didn't really want to run 3 days in a row but had to test out some taping from the physio doing something that would normally cause my hip flexor to start screaming. Given available time and location, the school cross country course was the best I could do

3 laps (1.9km each) with 5 mniutes rest between each.
7:52, 7:34, 7:33

Leg was good the whole way. Thank God. Also good considering the fastest I've ever lapped the course is 7:30 and for this session, that's probably the best set I've ever done...

Went home feeling wildly more positive about the world that I have for weeks.

run 1:11:33 [3]
shoes: adistar control

Don't know the distance, althoug hat least the first half hour was at a decent pace. Felt like I faded a bit after that.
Cut short the usual run to school coz I could already feel the hip flexor after 30 min and I didn't feel like putting myself through another day of pain just to reinforce the fact that I haven't miraculously recovered yet.

cycle (commute) 19:00 [1] 8.0 km (2:23 / km)
shoes: Avanti Blade

Dunno if it is my imagination, but having a thinner tyree on the back made it feel like I was sitting at a totally different angle on the bike today. Gonna train a bit this week :) Need to get a bit of a ride and a couple of paddles in before easing up after the weekend...

Note

Thought I was finally going to feel good again by today - starting to feel rested, but last nights dinner wasn't real well reheated and was awake half the night with gut pains...

run 28:03 [4] 7.0 km (4:00 / km)
shoes: adistar control

Decided that running on the flat was something that I had to do before the physio tomorrow. Didn't intentiaonally run hard from the start, but I wanted to get home and my legs were feling fresh from not doing anything for a week.
Lungs still felt a bit wheezy, but pretty happy with the world. Pain free. Running back tomorrow going the long way will be the real test...
