TVARC Summer 5k Series - Burnham

Road course of 2 loops this week around Burnham (shame it wasn't in B Beeches) in pretty heavy rain. Long downhill to start woke up the hamstrings and as lead 10 or so pulled away it was looking like another race with John and Chris. Felt fine on the first climb and pushed a bit to distance Chris. 3-4k was flat but really hard work and I struggled to stay with John. He and a Dactchet guy got ~30m ahead as I tried to cling on. Thought it was all over but on the last hill they really slowed and I took them ~300m out. A 5km PB in less than perfect conditions/course!
