Not remotely annoyed that the day after my 10 in 90 fail, james announces 20 in 90 to be the absolute bog standard long run. Bah.

To Longniddry and back along the shore. After a wet day, it was still wet when I set off and got home, but from Duddingston east it seemed to have been dry all day. Nice. Managed to get this one inside the target 15mph.

Back the car, the loop having turned out just short, with a vague thought of getting average to 9min/mile before realising that would be quite a lot further.

Running 1:30:21 [3] 10.0 mi (9:02 / mi)

10 miler from Meggetland up the Canal, through Currie, back down the towpath. Couldn't face the hilly summer 10 or the roady winter 10. the classic Meg10 was an hour, todays target was 90. Failed. Actually got 7/10 miles inside 9, but schlepped 1:45 on the not especially big climb from Westerhailes to Currie. So useless on hills these days.

Anyway, it was a nice change from cycling.

INT club run, Inch to JackKane & back with Pat, Paul and Ann. It was really nice to run at such a comfortable chatty pace, no pressure, even of the self-induced type.

janes' op day, so needed to run early and it was lovely, verging on hot. But the Brooks heavies are officially part-responsible for sack-of-spuddiness, so after completing a mile of the "sub-9s-covid Monday run" way north of 10mins, I turned back on meeting Andreas for a bonus lap of Blackford. He's training and pondering doing not the Pentland Skyline. I fear I'll not be able to do not the Pentland Skyline.

Anyway, I put such negative thoughts to one side, and then trundled to the end of Braidburn and back via AA.
